Arizona Governor Signs Proclamation Naming October as Cooperative Month

On September 26 Arizona Governor Janice K. Brewer signed a proclamation declaring October as Cooperative Month. The proclamation asks "all citizens in private and public life to thoughtfully consder the value of cooperative enterprise and acknowledge through private acts and public policy the right of Americans to come together in a cooperative self-help enterprise to meet their economic and social needs and aspritations."

The original proclaimation is framed and hanging in the offices of Grand Canyon State Electric Cooperative Association.
